What is definitely of need for a layout? A station, a signal box and a loco shed. Following the Signal box "Ruedesheim" of last year, now Vollmer presents again a very special signal box: the brigded signal box Om of the station Ottbergen. (See also Miba 7/2007)
The Signal Box Om has an observing bridge on which the signal box employee can walk through the door of the highest level of his signal box, to observe the scene the closest possible.
The signal box appears like a fortress in the midth of the tracks due to its plain form. For the model railway professional, a bridged signal box is always of greatest interest, because these signal boxes don't need very much space and they are located between the tracks, so that all trains can drive around.
